Providing Parents in Recovery with Pathways to Support

Uplifting Austin Families

At Loving Parents, we're building on our longstanding commitment to holistic, trauma-informed care by offering postpartum doula care, therapy, and recovery support for expecting and new parents.

We understand the unique challenges of parenting in recovery. Whether someone is navigating active addiction or maintaining sobriety, we meet parents where they are with individualized care, peer support, and meaningful community so no one has to navigate these transitions alone.

When parents struggle with resources, children are more likely to suffer from adverse outcomes in physical and mental health, have lower performance in school, and struggle with emotional and social development.

Loving Parents is an organization focused on empowerment.

Our goal is to change the world in a generation by empowering parents with the resources needed to raise their children to thrive. We work with community partners toward this goal and contribute by offering the following projects.

How we help parents

Individual Therapy

Loving Parents offers affordable, trauma-informed individual therapy for parents in the Austin community seeking compassionate, personalized support. Our person-centered therapists provide a safe, nurturing space to explore challenges, build resilience, and develop practical tools for emotional well-being. We believe therapy should be an empowering, grounding experience that you look forward to. Together, we’ll work toward greater connection, calm, and confidence in your parenting journey.

Postpartum Support

We plan to offer postpartum doula care to Austin parents in recovery who are welcoming home a new baby. We understand that caring for an infant takes a village, and can feel isolating at times. We are here to offer you hands-on support and provide recovery-informed visits to check in with new parents week to week. We are here to help you care for your baby, and empower you during this transition.

Peer Support

Loving Parents team is proud to staff women who are in recovery themselves. We are available not only as trained professionals, but as fellow humans who know what it’s like to get and stay sober through major life transitions. We can also connect you with the greater recovery community, and offer parent-specific tools and resources to make sure you never walk alone.

"We cannot give our children what we don't have. Where we are on our journey of living and loving with our whole hearts is a much stronger indicator of parenting success than anything we can learn from how-to books."
